Creative’s Dominoes Zoo is a preschool animal picture domino game for 1–4 players aged 3 and up, where each of the 28 large sturdy cards shows two zoo animals — children match card ends with the same animal photograph to build a chain, building observation, memory, and recognition skills. Used at home, in nurseries, and in early years classrooms for solo and group play.
About This Product
ZOO ANIMAL PICTURE DOMINO GAME — 28 LARGE STURDY CARDS AGES 3+ — Every card shows two real zoo animal photographs; children match identical animals end-to-end to build a chain — lion to lion, giraffe to giraffe, tiger to tiger.
CLASSIC DOMINO MECHANIC WITH ZOO ANIMALS — 1 TO 4 PLAYERS — The familiar domino chain-building format with real animal pictures instead of dots makes the game instantly accessible from age 3 without number knowledge.
OBSERVATION & RECOGNITION SKILLS — SCREEN-FREE HANDS-ON PLAY — Children scan the table, identify matching animals across all cards, and plan their next move — building visual discrimination and problem solving with every turn.
HOME, NURSERY & CLASSROOM GAME — SOLO AND GROUP PLAY — Works as a solo matching puzzle or a 2–4 player turn-based domino game; supports hands-on learning in home, classroom and structured play environments.
QUALITY, SAFETY & TRUST Creative’s products are proudly made in India, conforming to BIS Safety Standards (IS 9873 – Part 1) and EN71 Part 1, 2 & 3 with European Toy Safety Standards trusted by parents and educators since 1987.
Creative's Dominoes Zoo takes the classic domino mechanic and
replaces the dots with real zoo animal photographs. Each of the 28 large,
sturdy cards shows two animal images lion, tiger, giraffe, elephant,
zebra, eagle, panda, bear, parrot and more. Children match card ends
showing the same animal to build a chain, exactly as they would with
traditional dominoes, but without needing any number recognition.
All 28 cards are placed face up on the table. A child picks one, places it
in front of them, then selects cards from the remaining pile to match
each end giraffe end connects to a giraffe, tiger end connects to a tiger.
Cards can be turned in any direction, so children can create their own
chain designs rather than following a single line.
Nursery teachers use Dominoes Zoo because it introduces the domino
format naturally for children who are not yet reading or counting.
Parents choose it because it plays in 10 minutes, works solo or with
siblings, and children want to play it again.
HOW CHILDREN LEARN
A child picks up a domino card showing a giraffe on one end and
a tiger on the other they scan all the face-up cards on the table
to find one with a matching giraffe or tiger end, building visual
scanning skills systematically.
Deciding which end of the card to match and which direction to
place it — introduces simple spatial reasoning and forward planning,
even at age 3.
Recognising the same animal across different photographs
(the same tiger in a different pose or setting) sharpens visual
discrimination and builds real-world animal recognition beyond
a single stylised image.
In group play, children watch each other's moves, anticipate which
animals might be matched next, and hold that information in working
memory across the game a genuine cognitive challenge in a fun format.
Completing the full domino chain with all 28 cards — or building a
pattern by turning cards in any direction gives children a satisfying
tangible goal that keeps focus across the full session.
