Smart Problem Solving is a set of 30 large colourfully illustrated picture
cards for children aged 5 and up, covering 10 real-life everyday problem
scenarios. Each scenario begins with a Problem card such as two children
in conflict and children discuss, suggest or select cards showing the most
appropriate Solution and the resulting outcome. Scenarios include
interpersonal conflict, nature, community situations and more.
The problem-solution-result format is designed to build genuine thinking,
not just matching. Children must understand why something is a problem,
reason about possible responses and anticipate consequences developing the
decision-making habits that underpin emotional intelligence, conflict resolution
and academic reasoning.
