Description
Creative’s Learning Sight Words – Part 1 is an engaging early
literacy learning game designed to help children recognise, read and
practice commonly used words in the English language.
Sight words are essential for developing reading fluency, as many of
them appear frequently in everyday text. This activity introduces
children to 140 important sight words through interactive picture
cards and flash cards.
The learning process begins with Level 1 picture-word matching,
where children identify and match word cards with their corresponding
picture cards. This helps children connect visual cues with written words
and strengthens word recognition.
In Level 2 flash card practice, children read and practice commonly
used words printed on both sides of the cards, helping reinforce
memory and reading fluency.
Children can also play group games such as Snap, Fish and
Concentration, making learning both fun and social.
Creative’s educational toys encourage screen-free learning through
hands-on play, making them ideal for homes, classrooms and
structured learning environments. Such activities are also often
used in therapy-friendly learning spaces to support focus, language
development and communication skills.
